Future Fit® is a company that manages Personal Trainers and as well as fitness products and educational services for the consumer. Its certification body, The National Council For Certified Personal Trainers (N.C.C.P.T.) conducts Personal Training Schools and workshops for certification nationally and internationally. Besides instructing, John oversees the curriculum as well as hiring and monitoring the faculty. The school is accredited by AFAA, ISSA, NASM and IDEA Recognition System. Other facets of Future Fit include: trainer referral network, the design commercial, corporate or community based fitness centers as well as staffing them with fitness professionals. John is also the Director of Fitness Education for Holistic Fitness.

June 2004 – July 2006

General Manager of Newbury Park Athletic Club

Oversaw all aspects of all operations of a full service, 20,000 sq. ft. facility in Newbury Park, California: Budgets, payroll, programming, advertising and marketing, maintenance and repairs, equipment purchasing, etc.

Director of Personal Training at Bodies in Motion

Manage and responsible for all aspects of personal training for Bodies in Motion a small chain of six clubs in southern California.

December 2002- April 2003

National Director of Pro Results

Managed and responsible for all aspects of personal training for LA FITNESS nationally. Recruited, staffed and provided education for all their Personal Trainers.

August 1996- June 2000

Fitness Coordinator for LA Fitness

Managed and responsible for all the fitness trainers for all 30 locations of LA FITNESS in Southern California. Recruited, staffed and provided education for all their Personal Trainers which amounted to over 500 trainers. Conducted weekly educational workshops for the continued education of the LA FITNESS staff.

June 1995- August 1996

District Manager for LA lifestyles

Responsible for all aspects of the training departments at 10 LA FITNESS locations, including personal training, nutrition programs, supplements, accessories and tanning. Hired the fitness manager for each location and monitored all systems and operations at each center. He was also  involved in the design and concept of the policies and directives as well as the systems and protocols of the business. This included all payroll, inventory, data entry, client tracking, computer training, sales training plus the design, marketing and regulation of prices, specials and promotions. Designed all systems including:

  • trainers’ rules and regulations manual
  • appointment book
  • personal training brochure and advertising campaign
  • corporate trainers uniform


April 1995- June 1995

Owner of LA Lifestyles

LA LIFESTYLES was a personal training franchise purchased from LA FITNESS. John was in charge of all aspects of the business, such as: personal training sales, weight loss programs, sales of personnel, administration, payroll, inventory control, purchasing, marketing, administration of all offered programs, and training clients. John also provided sales training for the staff and educational seminars for the club.
